Practicing Musician Web Application

As the User Experience Designer on a small start-up team consisting of the company founder and CEO, PM, visual designer, engineer, and myself we set out to with a simple vision… “Making music education affordable and accessible for everyone.”

I came on board to help the team realize their vision and drive an existing project into its next stage of development. As the project was well into the development process the team was in need of a UI/ UX designer with the ability to collaborate with their team to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals and experience. I was tasked to bring simplicity and user-friendly solutions to complex design roadblocks. Delivery of assets included: wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, sitemaps, interaction design, illustration, and animation to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.

The project lasted about 6 months and in that timeframe I was able to work with teachers, students, staff, and the team at Practicing Musician to get the project off the ground. There were unique challenges along the way with the listening app, stopwatch animation, and the integration of other complex technologies through problem solving and unique visualization and creativity in the eLearning and music education space.
